they look awesome!! Great job on the cookie dough bites...they're so perfectly rolled and adorable :)
ReplyDeleteall the other food looks fabulous, too!
Hi Averie, Thank you! Cookie dough is so versatile and has so many possibilities! It was perfect for my little soccer balls(footballs). Everyone, who tried it, just loved it. Teenager was excited to have a themed dessert for the game, he giggled each time he had one, and I don't know how many he had, but he was giggling a lot! :) Excellent recipe, Averie. You are the genius! :)
DeleteWhat a delicious spread! And I have a soft spot for those cookie balls Marina!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorraine! Cookies are very easy to make (even I was able to do it, and you know i don't bake that often). They are not too sweet as I reduced sweetener, so I didn't have to watch teenager how many he shoveled in...:)
DeleteThanks again, Lorraine for your comment, and have a warm and cozy day. :)
Did you see the cat here: http://www.picnicatmarina.com/2012/06/zaletti-polenta-cookies-from-veneto.html? He is very cute, I think...
My sons love watching soccer...and the no bake soccer ball cookies are the perfect dessert for a Euro 12 party! The whole spread looks wonderful~
ReplyDeleteThanks Lizzy! I am sure your son would enjoy those cookies (I wanted them to look like little soccer balls) during the game. I hope you all have a terrific weekend! :)
DeleteMarina, you are a true Footie Fanatic! The "footballs on the field" look amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark! Yes, we do love the real football, I think is an awesome game to enjoy: dynamic, remarkable, and fun! :)
DeleteWhat a dear post..those soccer balls:) My little ones would love~
ReplyDeleteLittle Italy here must be bouncing:)
Thanks, yes, my heart was bouncing too, but Italy lost... Deep sigh... Oh well, there will be another time... :)
DeleteLook at these cute little footballs!!! How awesome is that?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sending me the recipe... :)

ReplyDeleteThank you Alida! :)
DeleteI'm not that crazy about soccer but this particular game will be very exciting. What does make me excited is all of your delicious looking food.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen! Yes, the game was exciting but Italy lost... deep sigh... Thanks for your comment! I enjoy when you come by my blog... :)
DeletePretty pictures of food, Marina! Wow.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheila! Did you see my quilt? Second photo in this post (http://www.picnicatmarina.com/2012/06/cold-cucumber-salad-for-hot-summer-day.html) has a small piece of it... :) That was my very first log cabin quilt... :)
DeleteO my God-))) The soccer bowls-)) How cute! Marina, your photography getting better and better every time. Wonderful food and gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks,my dear friend! You comment about photography is a huge compliment for me! Come back soon, I will post how I made those little footballs...:)
DeleteWhat terrific sporty food! I'm never that clever. Aussie meat pies and sauce and a sausage roll or two and that's about it. Oh and beer, lots and lots of beer for the crowd we have. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Maureen! Aww, thanks, you are so kind... Italy lost, so we need a lot of beer, like really a lot... deep sigh... Well, there will be another time... and another games... :)
DeleteWhat an amazing array of delightful teats!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris! :)
DeleteI'm not into soccer, alas. But my favorite sporting event is going on right now too - the Tour de France. Watching sweaty people pedal those bikes is somehow so mesmerizing - my wife and I can sit for hours. Fun sport, though if you don't know what's going on, it's confusing. Oh, and the food? Nice spread. Love those little football desserts.
ReplyDeleteWell, now that football (soccer) is over, we can watch Tour de France. We like that one too, I think we enjoy many sports, that are popular in Europe. Olympics are coming soon. It is going to be busy summer! :) Thank you for stopping by at my blog... :)
Deletewatched some of it but man I wish I had eaten at your house
ReplyDeleteI still have some leftovers... so any time! :)
DeleteWhat a gorgeous way to celebrate the finals my friend :D
ReplyDeleteMy dad and I got up early morning to watch and this beautiful feast would definitely had jolted us awake!
Yum!
Cheers
Choc Chip Uru
Thank you, my dear friend! Even though Italy lost, it was a great game. :)
DeleteThat eggplant looks great. I missed (slept through - I'm not good before 6:00am) the football but my partner watched it with the kids, apparently my 2 year old kept asking "why do they keep falling over daddy" which i thought was funny. Now we turn to the Tour - go Cadel! and then the Olympics and all the while we have Australian Rules Football to keep us entertained. There are some good things about winter I guess.
ReplyDeleteThank you Liz! It sounds like a busy summer (or winter for you)! We are switching to Tour de France and Olimpics now... :) More parties, more food to be made! :)
DeleteLove your party food, so perfect and healthy too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim. I am trying to be in the healthy zone... :)
Deletewow--what a wonderful collection of great food!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynn! I wanted a variety on my table for everyone's taste...:)
DeleteHoly cow. Amazing. That strawberry lemonade looks soo thick and delicious! I wonder how they made it so rich?
ReplyDeleteHi Erin! Thanks for visiting my blog. That strawberry drink I made myself...:) Here where you can read about it: http://www.picnicatmarina.com/2012/04/infused-strawberries-drink.html
DeleteHave a great day! :)
Everything looks so good! I'm not really an eggplant fan, and that even looks good :)
ReplyDeleteyou don't like eggplants even with a dill on top of it?! :) We love eggplants, and the less is done with it, the better. We call it our healthy stake! :)
DeleteLooks like a great menu! And I love the little soccer balls (or footballs) for dessert, so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a lot of fun making those little balls! :)
DeleteWith such treats I would wish the Euro to be more often! They are all very impressive!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katerina! We don't need to wait for another Euro or World Cup to be festive... This kitchen is always has something to offer, so sail into our Marina, and you don't even have to have a boat for that... :)
